The VeloSwap and other upcoming winter bike events in Denver

Day 37
6 miles ahead

Next Saturday (10/22), I’ll be attending my first VeloSwap, taglined “The World’s Largest Consumer Bicycle and Sports Expo.” Not sure I really need anything, but I’m going for the scene: a smattering of greenies and transportation geeks, recyclers and dealhounds – it should be fun. For those interested in joining, it runs from 9a – 4p at the National Western Complex. Tickets are available online here for $6, or $8 at the door.

Obviously, the bike events are slowing down now that we’re late in the season, but I have a few winter events jotted down in the calendar that I’m looking forward to:

Oct 30/31:  Bike Denver offers bike parking for Boo at the Zoo
Nov 10:       New Volunteer Orientation at the Bike Depot
Dec 22:        Solstice ride, again with Bike Denver
Feb 6-7:       Colorado Bike Summit
